DirecTV Stream Slow Moving Through Interface on the Roku
I am trying to get used to the DirecTV Stream app on Roku and it works great on my large Roku TV, but the smaller ones, it's very slow. From my experience with IT related items, it would make me think that the app is built for higher performance hardware and the smaller TVs are not robust enough. However, this would be a problem a huge amount of users. This interface needs to be rebuilt for performance!

Well, your inference is somewhat correct. Older Roku devices are not powerful enough. To be honest, DIRECTV STREAM doesn’t have the bandwidth to perfect their platform on every single streaming device, although customers like you and I wish they were able to. Possible ways to minimize the issue is use an Ethernet connection, bring the router closer to the Roku, upgrade to the DIRECTV STREAM Osprey box, or get a more powerful Roku TV as you previously stated.

They aren't older devices... just smaller devices. In fact, one device is a brand new Phillips Roku TV and it's really slow. I can't decide if I can stick with DirecTV or move back to YouTubeTV. Their interface works great on ALL of my TVs.

We have a small cheap Sharp Roku TV, and the DirecTV Stream app works as quick on it, as it does on our more expensive large Samsung TV. The Samsung TV has a Roku Ultra, because we were having several issues, like many others, with the built in Samsung app. Although it looks like the Samsung app is working better lately
