DirecTV User ID
Is it possible to get a separate login ID for my DirecTV stream subscription rather than just one for all my AT&T subscriptions? I don't want it to have access to the rest of my AT&T accounts for security reasons. Right now they are all tied to the same login ID. Or even a secondary login restricted to the streaming service.

I also would like to have a separate ID. A separate viewing login instead of using my AT&T login would be peferred.

You can log in to your account and change your email address and password if you want.

Sorry but I don't seem to be able to change the DirecTV password only. Once it is linked to the AT&T account, it takes you directly to AT&T website to make changes and only allows changes to the shared password, unless you can show me some way to get to the point of only changing the DirecTV streaming password.

Once you try to make any changes from the DirecTV streaming website it redirects you to the AT&T website (copied, evidently won't allow uploading pics):

Looks like you also have an AT&T service associated with this user ID. Since you do, you'll still view and manage your profile info there.

I don't have any AT&T services except for the DirecTV Stream tied back to older systems. I have changed my ID several times over the years. You wanted to change your ID from your first post - is that what you tried (you said password).

User id would be best. Yes, it makes a big difference if you have the AT&T accounts tied via the same user id/password. I will call support on Monday to see if this can be done. (They asked online when I added the DirecTV service if I wanted to sync up the user ids/passwords for all the services (Wireless/Internet/TV). I thought that was a good idea at the time. However, there doesn't seem to be anyway to undo this online.)

No, when you try, it sends you to the AT&T website to make any changes, which would affect all the services.

Amazing! I would just cancel and sign back up with another email. Easiest thing to do.
