DTV stream in a browser
Why can I only watch DTV Stream on one browser? Sometimes I want to watch two programs at once. For instance a sports channel and the news. It can't be done on stream. Or my wife might want to watch in another room using a computer. It can't be done. I was a Directv user for years and I always thought that they did the best job. I haven't found a streamer yet as good. Why wasn't this experience ported to DTV stream?

We have no problem viewing DirecTV Stream on two different computers simultaneously. But it's true that you can't use two web browser windows on the same computer simultaneously.

@JohnGn you can use an incognito window + a normal window so you can have 2 browsers streaming different channels on the same computer - use Chrome.
Indeed, viewing on separate computers works fine as @litzdog911 says. Hope this helps.

They refreshed my service and I cleared cache and now it works great and I can open multiple windows on multiple computers.

Cool. I didn't realize it was possible to use Stream on two different Chrome browsers that way. Thanks!

I'm sorry, I didn't really check out whether I could actually watch 2 programs before running my mouth. I cannot. I plan to get back to DTV tomorrow. The rep told me I could and I just started the stream, I didn't actually start programs.

We need to gather as much information as possible to find the root case of this situation.
Could you please confirm if this only happens when using the incognito window or also with a different browser?
Thank you.

I can't start a new tab in Chrome and play a show. I can start chrome on another computer and watch programs on each. I can't start up a new tab and watch a program on either. I can't start up a new instance of chrome and watch a program on either.
I also have Chrome Canary I can start that and watch a program while watching in Chrome. But I can't watch 2 in that either. I can also watch 1 in Incognito window.
Every streamer that I have had before you could watch as many as you wanted -- youtubeTV , fubo and Hulu.
I like to watch the news while I watch sports. It would be inconvenient to use incognito for that.
@GTyz can you watch programs in two tabs?

I tried this. I can't get either Chrome or Firefox to let me run separate DTV Stream displays in 2 tabs, or in 2 separate windows (which both identify as 2 tabs rather than 2 windows), even with incognito. However, I can run DTV Stream in both a Chrome and a Firefox window at the same time. Switching between 2 windows is less convenient than switching between 2 tabs, but it's not terrible. An upside of using 2 separate windows rather than tabs is that if you have a large enough monitor (or a multi-monitor setup), both can be showing at the same time.

Hi, @JohnGn. We'll be glad to assist you.
Please, let us know if you can stream in both computers separately, or if you're only having issues when trying to stream in both computers simultaneously.
Also, share with us the browser version you're using to stream.
Thanks in advance.

@JohnGn, I misunderstood your original post (as you never mentioned tabs, only the same computer).
It's indeed a limitation of the product since the beginning I think and, as far as I know, the only way to do this on the same computer is like I told you previously: you can use an incognito window + a normal window so you can have 2 browsers streaming different channels on the same computer - use Chrome.
You cannot do this in 1 browser using different tabs.
I hope this helps clarifies.
