DTV Stream video won't start on Chrome
I can logon, get to the guide, select a program. The horizontal line show up for a few seconds, then nothing. No video, no audio. I have tried in MS Edge and Chrome with the same results. I have already cleared my cache, cookies and history in both browsers, but this had no impact. If I use an incognito session, everything works fine. I can do this as a work around, but would prefer to find the problem
Another data point is that I can use the web access from other computers and it works properly.
So the question is, what can I check in the browsers on this machine to hopefully make this work?

If it works in incognito mode then that indicates you have some extension, blocks, VPN, or blocker preventing the app from functioning correctly. This is a well long time known issue. You will need to review your environment to find the culprit causing the issue.

(edit Something occurred to me. This may have started when the URL changed to stream.directv.com..)
I am not using a VPN on this machine. It certainly means something that both Chrome and Edge stopped working around the same time, but I am not sure what? I am pretty sure that I have seriously different settings on each of them. I have primarily used Edge for the streaming functions (second monitor). So have not spent much time tweaking it.
I agree that there is likely something in the browsers causing this. Obviously I need to review my environment. But the purpose of my question was to get some help with where to begin. Modern browsers are very complex with hundreds of settings. So, for people that may have had the problem, what are some things to try before spending hours and maybe breaking something else?

Hoping for someone with a few more specifics to chime in. (the start for help was not very helpful). You did not say anything that I was not already aware of. But thanks for the attempt!
I am pretty sure that others have had similar problems and may be able to share how they fixed it.
So what do you recommend as an alternative for "technical Support".
Just in case?

We're here to help with your browser streaming, @ppasteur!
We recommend you use the latest version in all of the browsers.
Check to make sure you're using a compatible browser and make sure there aren't any updates pending. You may also need to disable any extensions or browser add-ons you may have to see if that helps.
Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the response. I am using Both Chrome and Edge for testing. I think that they are supported, yes? Both are up to date as they are set to auto update, and are doing that successfully.
I tried to think of what would be common between them. That also may have changed when the URL changed to stream.directv.com (which was when this problem started).
I finally though about Ad Blocker+. I disabled it for the new URL, and was able to start video streams.
It would be good for anyone having similar problems with getting selected channels to begin streaming think about anything in their browsers that may be treating the page with the new URL differently than the previous one.
The mention of browser extensions by @DIRECTVhelp and the realization that the URL was different led me to think of the ad blocker.
That fixed it.
Thank you,
Phil
