Fast forward and rewarding
After the update, these items are very frustrating. The fast forwarding available is 1 minute. The interaction is delayed and I can’t see how forward it has gone. Please make improvements quickly. This will be a reason to switch streaming services

The fast forward option on live shows is available only through the DIRECTV STREAM box. You can fast forward for 15 seconds in other devices but only on the recordings.
Let's try to reinstall the app again in order to fix the Fast Forward issue.

It's horrible and glitchy since the update. You should be able to fast forward on demand shows but it just jumps around and freezes. A reason to cancel

We are always looking to improve our service and our customer experiences are valuable. To resolve the fast forward issue, you can uninstall and download the DIRECTV APP again.
1. Go to your device's app store: Apple App store. Google Play store. Amazon for Android.
2. Select the DIRECTV STREAM app and follow the prompts.

You all know that uninstalling the app doesn't help so why keep suggesting that. Fix the issue!

agreed. it is not an app issue since i use a remote controller which communicates with a at&t box that is connected to the internet that connects/uses directv stream....not an app issue.....

did you read my post? the fast forward goes too fast...it used to work where it would do 1 times fast forward, but not always starts at 2 times...won't do 1.....that is the issue.

Are you talking about the Dtv Stream box? My ff/rewind works fine it still does 1x,2x,3x,4x. If it is the stream box did you restart it?

i have unplugged the box and plugged back in. i have done the restart using the settings, but still get the 2x fast forward when i press fast forward.

Maybe something is wrong with your remote. I'd try to repair it or change the batteries. Also, check to see if the remote's firmware is updated in the settings. Also, when you press ff just b/c u see two arrows pointing forward doesn't mean it is 2x. It's not 2 times until you see the 2

believe me, it is 2x and if i press the ff again, then i see the 2x...so, you are wrong. i doubt if both remotes went bad or need batteries at the same time since both do the same thing.

I am wrong about what???? If you press ff once----there are two forward arrows and no number that is 1x. U hit it a 2nd time and there is a 2 that is 2x---so forth and so on

Totally agree. I was already checking out other streaming services this morning. I’m not talking about live shows, I’m talking about shows that I have recorded. I have a smart TV, it’s not a “box” issue. Totally stinks!

Well, it's still happening 3 years later to me. I had zero problems fast forwarding on my Roku-enabled TV until about 2 weeks ago (after two years of using DTV streaming). Now, EVERY time I go forward more than a minute or so, I get a clocking icon and a message that something went wrong with fast forwarding and to try again. Takes me back to where I was when I started fast forwarding. THis happens whether it is a "recorded" sho, or one that is currently recording. It has basically eliminated the ability to fast forward.
