Fast Forwarding Through Large Chunks of a Recorded Program

Let's say you want to fast forward an hour or two into a recorded program. Is there a way to move forward more than 30 seconds at a time? Seems like there must be another way to forward through larger chunks of a show, but I can't figure out how to do it. Help, please!!

What streaming device are you using?

With the DirecTV Stream box you can use the remote's FF button.

@litzdog911  I am streaming via an app installed on my Amazon Fire TV Stick. It has a fast forward button, but only advances footage 30 seconds at a time. Its's maddening trying to fast forward a couple of hours into something you recorded, 30 seconds at a time!

Update your directv stream firestick app. I was using my firestick in the bedroom yesterday and and FF/rewind like the stream box after an update.

@Ludwick577 That's strange because when I go into my Firestick apps, auto updates are enabled and it says it's up to date. Maybe I'll need to uninstall and then reinstall it. On yours, what happens when you press the forward/rewind button? Does it not move in 15 or 30 second increments?
