Fire TV - Change channels on Direct Stream

My TV remote does not have a number pad. Is there a way to jump to a channel rather than going thru the guide to find it. For example, if I am watching abc on channel 82, how would I jump to ION channel 56?

The only device, that you can directly input a channel number, is the DirecTV Stream box.

Thank you, @lou_do for your reply.

@Bocaman41, we're happy to help you.

Since the Fire TV remote doesn't have the number pad, another option to have more control of your programming is getting the DIRECTV STREAM device, which takes the TV to the next level, you will be able to access to thousands of apps like Netfils and more on Google Play, Search using our voice remote with Google Assistant and Enjoy a traditional live TV guide. In case you are interested, you can order online using this link

As noted, the DirecTV streaming device is customized for the service and offers a more "cable-like" experience (comes up in the DirecTV Stream app, direct channel number entry, more features reached by buttons on the remote rather than menus, etc., plus some level of voice control).  However, while it does support "Netfils" (@DIRECTVhelp - do you reps not bother to proofread your posts?) and a lot of the major streaming apps, it offers fewer than you would likely find on FireTV.  It is also relatively expensive at $120 (though you can buy over time at $5/month for 24 months).  Supposedly you can also get refurb units from them at $50.  (I can't say for sure about the latter, as I have a "grandfathered" subscription, and can't get the devices from them at all...)
