HELP to install C71KW-400 for streaming
Just switched to DTV streaming from DTV satellite. I just realized that the C71KW-400 which I was using with my HR44-500 "might" be a better solution than the Fire Stick I am using for streaming DTV.
First I removed the Fire Stick then I held down the red button on the C71 to reset and connected the C71 to my TV and turned it on. It looked like it was going to work, I followed the instructions on the screen, paired the remote and then I got this screen: ooops, can't upload an image.
It goes to a Add Clients screen and says:
Go to your Main Receiver and make sure it is powered on.
Then depending on the type of receiver you have ...
Press MENU on your Genie remote.
I can't get any further since my remote has no MENU key and other buttons don't do anything.
What client?
Any help is appreciated.

@seauubee There are other instructions on how to convert your satellite box to streaming.

The software on the C71KW-400 is different for stream versus satellite. You will need a different box for stream that has the Dtv stream software on it. You can actually buy one from walmart for 45 dollars. That's the easiest way. There is another way that I've seen online--but not sure if it actually works for everyone---or at all. You might try it. Here it is. Found it on google AI search

@seauubee, @Ludwick577 is right. Your Gemini device from your former Satellite service uses a Genie user interface and works as its client. Functionality when using it with your Streaming service isn't guaranteed. Here is a list of compatible devices you might want to consider: Streaming devices compatible with DIRECTV | DIRECTV Support John, DIRECTV Community Team

@Ludwick577 - I think your hack to get the satellite box to run the streaming software worked for me a couple years ago. I was tinkering with a box on my Satellite setup, so I had a sat box, but I wanted to play with streaming at the time so I did those steps you provided and it worked. I think this is worth a try for the OP.

We must have rebooted it 20 times last night to no avail. Tried 2326, and all the other tips.
Ordered a streamer from WalMart this morning.

Very Happy Now!
We followed the advice in this link:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1c_idev0P86YPjuWOCVjXVht86NNTNCBB5ZKDDkZWyYE/edit?tab=t.0
reboot, pair the remote, go to settings (- sign), set the WiFi network, choose Factory Reset from the bottom of the Settings Menu, and interrupt the device by disconnecting from WiFi while it's rebooting. This can be tricky, our Frontier Fios wouldn't allow us to disconnect our main WiFi network so we had to start over and use our guest WiFi network. When the connection is interrupted the box doesn't know if it's Ethernet or WiFi and presents you with the opportunity to choose.
The C71KW-400 is SO much better than the Fire Stick, smooth and fast. Not as good as SAT but very good.
Thanks for all the help.
