How can I record new shows only in a series?

When you record a series there is a popup ----new episodes or all episodes. The dtv help reply above is incorrect. They left out a step on the dtv stream box instructions--u also get a popup box that give the choice of new or all episodes.

I've never had a problem with recording shows on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX. Which tv are you using?
