Hey @Suprdave1, thanks for reaching out to us, we're here to help!
To record new episodes, please go to DIRECTV STREAM or the DIRECTV STREAM App, then Select the show you want to watch and choose REC. If you are using an Android device, Select the 3 dots first.
1. Go to DIRECTV STREAM and scroll down to see your options.
2. Swipe right to highlight your choice and select record.
3. Select All Episodes or New Episodes.

What device are you using? DirecTV stream box, Roku, Fire Stick?
It varies slightly depending on the device you are using.

With the DirecTV Stream box:
Select the show you want to record, from the Guide.
Next screen select "Record", hit enter.
Next screen select "Record Series", hit enter.
Next Screen select "New Episodes"

It doesn’t matter if you select only new episodes!! It records the show on every channel it plays on and every season abs episode. This system is so antiquated. DirecTv had a better operating system than this!! So frustrating. And lately the quality of recordings is TERRIBLE!!! You’re better off just watching “View All Episodes” but then you’re stuck watching commercials because you can’t fast forward!! VERY DISAPPOINTED with this service.

Has this issue been resolved. I want only new episodes and not multiple reruns recorded. This is not what I expected. Comcast Xfinity does it better.

Sometimes shows are on multiple channels...so it will record those too. Just delete the shows. Takes 1 second.
