How do I get to **resuming** content when I turn back to it???

I’m brand new to DTVS and am still on my 5 day trial. I have had nearly every single streaming service and have been able to easily resume a tv show or movie etc when I go back to that channel after channel surfing. On DTVS, I noticed if I leave a channel, it doesn’t pause, it starts off live. On other services, I didn’t have to be recording a program, it would just be available to resume from where I last watched it.

Is there a way to do this?? Thanks!

Hello @Candy1966, we apologize for the misunderstanding and want to make sure that the information is crystal clear.

DIRECTV STREAM is a streaming platform that gives you the option to watch shows and movies either on-demand or live stream. When you're watching on live stream it works like regular TV, this means that when you're zapping within live channels the programming continues as scheduled.

If you want to resume a show from a live stream it would be necessary to record it with the cloud DVR.

Also, there is an option to watch select shows that aired in the last 72 hours on DIRECTV STREAM, find them here.

We continue working to provide the best features and experience based on our customer's needs. Thank you for your feedback as it help us to improve everyday.

@matcarl, we fullfilled our commitment by delivering the right solution.

To make sure we review all your options, can you let us know which stream device are you using for the DIRECTV STREAM account?

@matcarl

Just ignore DirecTV's response. They're mostly useless.

Hmmm, that’s odd DTVS doesn’t do that when other services that haven’t been around as long offer it. Well, hope they add that feature.

Thanks for the help.
