How do you show channel names in the new guide?
The new guide removed all of the channel names from the guide on the left. This is an essential part of a guide so I’m just assuming I have a bugged version or a missing setting checked somewhere.
In the place of channel names is an empty grey box with a heart and a channel number.

Rebooting and/or clearing the cache is only a temporary solution. As soon as you turn off your tv you will have the same problem when you turn the tv back on.

Clear cache or force stop, works well until TV is turned off. Now I just go directly to apps and do force stop before even opening/trying Direct Stream. Hope they find the bug and squash it soon.

Problem still there. I restart firestick and the channels and logo reappears in the guide. If the home button on the firestick is ever used (like to go to another app or anything else) the channels and logos will dissappear from the guide. Must restart the firestick to get them to return.

EXIT then re-enter app, until app is fixed.

Same here. No problem with my Firestick. I also have the same software version number as the Firestick (4.0.31.36712) side loaded onto my Android tv box. No problem with logos there either. I wonder if there is a Firestick setting that needs to be changed for people who are having this guide issue.

I have 5 fire sticks and all are new 3rd generation. All are having problems with the guide. Wonder if the no problem people are using a previous version of fire stick.

All Fire TV sticks are new ones. I've tried everything I read here. Exit and restart app - no names/icons. Clear cache - no change. Exit app before turning TV off - no change. Only thing that brings names & icons back for me is to delete the app entirely and then reload the app and go through the name & password procedures, redo favorites, etc.
I sure hope that someone from Amazon and someone from DirecTV are reading this thread and collaborating to resolve the issue with the newest version Fire TV Sticks.
