How many TV's can be on Directv Stream at the same time?
I'm in the process of setting up our TVs for Directv Stream. Two are in rooms in the basement and one is on a fire stick. After I downloaded the app for the one on the fire stick and went to watch it, I got an error message stating we had two Streams outside our area and I would have to close one to watch on this TV. Was this because it's in the basement or can you only watch it on two TVs at the same time? If I got a box for the TV on the firestick would that solve the problem?

They're considered "in-home" as long as the devices are connected to the same home network. Does your basement have a different network for internet access? How are your devices connected to your network (WiFi, ethernet?).

The account was originally set up on ethernet. All the TVs are on wireless but the same internet. Does that make a difference. Should I switch the home address to one of the wireless tv's?

Not sure what you mean by "the account was originally set up on ethernet". Is the WiFi network the same network where you set up the account? If not, then those devices will think they're out-of-home.

I too have a TV in the basement and have a different internet network to service that area. Does this mean that it have to use the upstairs connection which might be weaker in the basement (but on the same network)?

Probably. It's not on the same network if the connection has a different router IP address. This is a common issue with extenders.

Yes, to have the max amount of devices connected "in-home" at the same time all the devices need to be connected to the same network.
And if the devices are connected in the basement it will be much better to have them connected using an Ethernet cable to have the best connection quality and speed.

Ethernet/Wireless doesn't matter. If they're going out the same Internet Gateway from your ISP, then they're considered at the same location. If you had Internet Service from two different ISPs, and the two devices used the two different ISPs, they'd be in two different locations, and only one of those locations could be the home one.
It's all based on what the source IP is when the request gets to the DIRECTV stream servers.

I'm currently an AT&T customer. I have U-Verse was considering changing to Direct TV streaming. How would I cancel U-Verse and get Direct streaming TV? Also, I have 4 smart TV's. Would I just have to download the app on the TV's? How many T'Vs can be in use at the same time? How many programs can be recorded while watching two TV's at the same time?

All your questions are easily available on the website. Visit the site and get familiar with the service. U-verse and DirecTV Stream are 2 different services, and there is no migration plan from either.
