How to change direct tv channel using amazon fire stick
I have a 2nd generation amazon fire stick. I also have direct tv. I have downloaded the direct tv app to the firestick, but cannot figure out how to change the direct tv channels. The firestick remote does not have a number pad or a guide button.

You have to press the UP or DOWN arrow while watching live TV, use the arrows to hover over to the Guide option and press ‘SELECT’, and then use the arrows as normal to choose a channel that you want to watch.

Hello @dweird, we want to make things easier for you. To access the navigation screen, search, and view the guide, click the top of the directional keypad. And, to choose a program, guide, etc. You have to move the cursor using the directional keypad and press the middle Select button, inside the directional keypad to select it. You can also change channels on your firestick using the remote---press up and a list of recent channels pops up. Just make sure to populate those recent channels by selecting channels from the guide.
