How to I limit my streaming quality to 720P (SD) resolution?

I have a Samsung Smart TV with the DirecTV app downloaded.  My internet plan has limited data every month.  How can I make sure I watch in standard definition rather than HD?  I can't find a setting in the app or my account, and not on the Samsung Smart TV (2021 Q60A).

I know the Dtv Stream app for Firestick has a setting to change resolution to --good, better best in the settings---preferences. Not sure about the Samsung tv app.

I'm not aware of a way to do that.  And 720p is not Standard Definition. 480i/480p would be SD. 720p and 1080i are the HD resolutions used by DirecTV's HD channels.

Thank you!  I found the Good - Better - Best resolution in the settings icon on my DirecTV Stream Guide page on my PC.  Never could find this on the TV app.  It is sort of buried and doesn't really say what the actual resolutions are, but should help.
