On the DirecTV Stream device, the "built-in" apps (NetFlix, HBO Max, probably some others) cannot be deleted - they are part of the base software install. You should be able to delete any that you install yourself. To delete an app that you can delete, highlight it on the app screen and hit the ellipsis button (3 dots) on the remote - one of the choices that pops up is "uninstall".
