Insignia soundbar doesn't work with Directv stream via Roku

All of the other apps/channels on the Roku do not have any sound issues but with D stream, the sound snaps and pops and is completely unusable. I understand from reading in the forums that there are issues with Roku and steam but I'm at a loss as to how to resolve this. I have a wireless network extender near the tv and the signal seems strong.

Hi @frankldj . We are here to help.

We know how important is to get your sound bar working in the right way, so you can enjoy your favorite programming and we are here to help you to get this fixed.

Could you please share with us what Roku model you have? This way we can check the compatibility of your device with our service. You can check the compatible devices here

Also, are the audio issues occurring as well when the sound bar is not connected to the Roku device?

It's a roku express (I don't know the exact model) which is listed as a compatible device.

When I switch the audio from sound bar to tv (and leave the sound bar connected), there are NO issues with the Stream audio.

Hello @frankldj, let's work together to find out what's causing this.

Please, follow the next troubleshooting steps for your Roku sound issue.

-Check the volume level and mute settings on your TV and any audiovisual (A/V) receivers you may have.
-Try changing the cable or changing the A/V cables, one at a time. Composite cables are usually red and white.
-Make sure that any composite cable sound connectors are snugly attached to both the Roku player, the TV, and any A/V receiver.
-Connect your Roku player to a different input to see if you can hear sound.
-Check or change your Roku audio settings by selecting Home, then Settings, and finally Audio. (Set HDMI and S/DIF to Dolby/D./Set HDMI to PCM-Stereo.)

On the other hand, for how long has this issue been going on?

We'll be here for any updates
