Is directv stream being phased out?

It’s not being phased out, they just can’t make up their mind what they want to call it and they are inconsistent with how they advertise it and how they use DirecTV interchangeably with DirecTV Stream. 

The URL is stream.directv.com 

I looked up the URL myself and the URL does appear to be "streamtv.directv.com," but I do think the regular "stream.directv.com" URL is currently being utilized by directv to log into stream accounts. 

stream.directv.com is the site where you can watch live through a web browser, 

I'm referring to the site where you can sign up for the service which was streamtv.directv.com

When I follow this link, it takes me to the Directv Stream sign up page. Maybe clear the cache and cookies from your browser?

They are hiding "DirecTV Stream" and offer "DirecTV via Internet" on the main DirecTV web site. "DirecTV via Internet" has the additional "Advanced Receiver Service Fee" of $15 per month. There are also additional regional sport network fees depending on location. So I would not be surprised that "DirecTV Stream" is phased out or grandfathered.

They want you to buy their proprietary device so that is why the promotions are geared towards DirecTV not DirecTV Stream. With the DirecTV Stream service, the device is not available.
