Is there a difference in resolution and audio signal between stream and satellite?

Considering moving over to stream from satellite, but I can't find any information on any resolution/audio differences.  Most of the satellite content (movie channels) is 720p or 1080i, but you can PAY for the same movie in 1080P.  That has always irritated me.

I have netflix and watch a lot of their 4K content.  Will the stream box handle that OK?  Read somewhere there was no 4K on directv stream, even if it's available on another ap.  True?

Lastly, is there any difference in the audio options on stream?  Other aps have better options (dolby vision, atmos).

Thanks for the help

The best suggestion I can offer you is to do the free trial and make the decision yourself it it fits your needs. Nothing from DirecTV Stream is broadcast in 4K anyways and of course depending in your device and TV will determine any 4K content.

Directv Stream.. streams in 1080p or 720p depending on what the channel broadcasts. As for the apps on the Dtv stream box if the movie/tv show is in 4k and you have your stream box resolution set to 4k then you will see 4k.

We just switched from DirecTV Satellite to Stream. No difference in video quality. We've been very impressed by DirecTV Stream using both DirecTV Stream and Roku boxes.
