Issues with the DIRECTV stream app freezing

Anyone else having issues with the DIRECTV stream app freezing up going to a black screen and then coming back in Spanish audio?  It. The app has been terrible

Most of the time the cause of screen lock ups, freezing or buffering is issues with your Internet. You have to realize if you are using wifi you can have signal loss between your router and your device or TV. You should download a signal strength app on your TV and test your signal strength. You may have to add a wifi extender if your signal is low at your TV.  
If you are using wired Ethernet you should have a good signal, unless you have a bad cable.

I had the same sort of problem on a new Samsung smart TV.  Since it would happen like clockwork ever 2 hours (freeze and change to the Samsung TV app), I went into settings on the TV itself and turned off all the power saving settings in General Settings (all were set to either go to a screen saver or go to sleep after 2 hours).  Hasn't happened since, but I still bought a new box because my husband cannot figure out the app thing...even when it's working right...LOL!
