I read that KTLA Ch. 5 was going to be included on DIRECTV Stream after the Nexstar agreement. The channel is not available. Is there an update?

what you heard was a rumor, don't know who started it. If it is going to happen, probably nothing to do with the Nexstar deal.

Did you have KTLA prior to the blackout? If not, there's no reason to suppose you will get it if the blackout is lifted by Nextstar

This announcement does not say what you think it says. It's a syndicated news announcement that the Nexstar blackout has been lifted, KTLA published it as a news story.. It does NOT say KTLA has been added to the channels you receive.
It could always happen but it's a separate event.
