Local channel pixilation
We have one local channel that has constant pixilation happening. No other channels from DirectTV Streaming does this. We’ve unplugged and rebooted our Wi-Fi, Roku and reloaded the app. Is this an issue from our local station?

I am the one in Ormond Beach , FL watching CBS out of Orlando. I just spoke with Customer Service and they said they have been receiving complaints from many locations and realize it is a big problem. They are working on it and hope to have it fixed in a few hours. I am just the messenger repeating what they told me on the phone call. Not giving you an "official" report, just the results from my personal call.

No issues here with FOX or CBS watching games with Roku or Fire Sticks. Location in NC.

Looks like you are all watching football. That means there must be a problem with the feed the local stations are getting from Fox/CBS; if so there is nothing directv can do about it. And why directv help wants to take the conversations private I have no idea, that's just a waste of time.

Hey @Ptw, thanks for letting us know the local channel you are experiencing pixelation issues with.
Let's meet in a Direct Message to take a closer look on this. Please check your DIRECTV Message Inbox (It's the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums) so we can take a closer look at this.

Same issue in the Orlando area. Only CBS and Fox and it's not the first time this happens. Only during football though. Super frustrating, this didn't happen when we had xfinity.

May I know if you are able to see the bell icon at the upper right corner? The DM box should be there.
Please let us know how it goes.

I find it funny that DirectTVHelp is offering a DM message to everyone, but me , the original poster. Anyone who has gotten this message what is being offered?

@WacoDave Just an automated response that isn't helpful.
"We appreciate you taking the time to make sure that we are aware of the situation, and want you to know that technicians are already working toward a resolution as quick as possible. We apologize for this inconvenience. Daniela, DIRECTV Community Specialist"

DirectvHelp is pointless anyway. Just standard responses either from a bot or from someone who has no idea what they are talking about. And why anyone would want to take these to DM I have no idea.

wacodave.
Sorry about the mess this thread has become. DirectvHelp is of no help, because they don't know what is going on, and don't bother to read the thread.
The game coverage is fed from a central location, to each of the local affiliates. This is nothing to do with DirectV. The local affiliates are not processing this signal correctly. It has happened before. You will probably find the pixelation disappears when they show local commercials, confirming its the network feed that is the problem.
