Local Channels
So I signed up for the 5 day streaming free trial. I wanted to switch from YoutubeTV to get SNY again. My problem is with getting my local channels correct. My zip code is 18428. I'm in PA. When I enter that zip on directv local channel lookup it asks to pick a county. One county gives me the correct PA locals, the other county gives me New York channels.
When I signed up for streaming though it only asked for my address and zip code but didn't give me the option to choose a county. When I previously had DirecTV using the dish it would ask what county when I signed up and I got the correct locals.
I'm streaming on my TV using the app on AppleTV 4K. I tried contacting customer support but they said there was no option to choose a county so he offered to change the zip code for me. When I put in a Scranton zip code 18501 on the DirecTV channel look up website it defaults to PA channels--no need to pick a county so I asked him to try that one. Unfortunately it didn't work. Even after he put in 18501 I was still getting NY locals.
I guess there's no way to change this? It's so weird that I live in PA but get NY locals!

Thanks for the reply. I also installed the app on my phone and tried it that way, allowed location to be used, and it still showed NY locals. I get my PA locals on YoutubeTV and when I tried another streaming service they were able to change the zip code in my account and I had my locals right after they did that.
I wish there were a way to pick a county with DirecTV streaming like they do when using the dish as it made everything work correctly. When you go to DirecTVs website and use the local channel finder and put in my zip code of 18428 it asks which county I'm in--that seems to determine which locals I get. For some reason that option isn't there when signing up for the streaming service. :(
