Local Home Channels when Travling

I went out of town for a few days and logged onto Direct TV Stream on my phone and found that my local home channels were not available. The local channels for where I was showed up. However I have seen cases for others when they moved their local channels followed them till they changed their home location. 

In this case I did not care about watching the news for the location I was. I wanted to watch the news for my home location.  Why did it not stay "home" when I have seen it do it for others?
