Login to Directv Stream App on Apple TV - Code: 0018

I having issues logging into my Directv Streaming App on my Apple TV.  It asked me to login to my IOS device and on the web.  I did both and I keep getting an error message saying "These credentials are valid for the Directv experience.  Please login to the DIRECTV app on your web, Android or IOS device.  {Code:0018}  Can someone help with this issue?  It works fine on my iPhone and on the web...so I don't know what the problem is on my apple tv device.

1. Please make sure the Apple TV is updated
2. Uninstall and reinstall the app.

Thank you for your suggestions but I am still experiencing the same problems.  I updated my apple tv and I deleted and reinstalled the Directv Stream App.  Still getting the same error message.  Any more suggestions?

We are currently experiencing a global issue with the latest releases of ios and tvOS, hence IPhones, IPads, or Apple TVs may experience this kind of crashings. Our Teams are aware and working to resolve it as soon as possible.

Thanks for your help, bcbsncjlj.  I followed these instructions below and I keep getting this error message that states "That user ID doesn't seem to work here.  Please sign in with a different ID.  Care Code: 205.4."  I have two user IDs and I used both of them and neither one worked.

Apple TV setup

Already signed in to a different TV provider?
  1. Select Settings, then Account, then TV Provider.
  2. Choose Sign Out.

Sign in to the DIRECTV STREAM app on your Apple TV:
  1. Select Settings and choose Account, then TV Provider, and finally Sign in.
  2. Search for and select DIRECTV STREAM.
  3. Select your DIRECTV user ID from the list (if applicable) or select Enter New and follow the prompts.
  4. Enter your password and select Done.
I signed out of my directv sign on and tried to login to Directv Stream and all it sai

It's been 2 months and this issue is still not resolved.

I am able to use my Direct TV stream account on any other device.  Just not the Apple TV.  Works on my Ipad, Samsung, Xbox, Laptop.

I am having the same issue. I have tried all the steps mentioned in this forum and others. FIX YOUR (Edited per community guidelines) WE ARE PAYING FOR!

Yea, you should fix this Direct TV. This is a horrible customer experience. It’s weird you ask your customers to test your RnD… get an Apple TV to your engineers so they can provide a fix to your paying customers!

SOLVED. For me at least.

I have a DirectTV satellite account.

when I added and signed up for DirectTV Stream, I used the same login credentials (name).

Downloaded the DirectTV Stream app to my iPhone and iPad and it would keep giving me the 0018 code and would try and log back into my DirectTV Satellite app.

even when I deleted the Satellite app, it still directed me to it.

So…I deleted both apps on both devices.

changed my login account name for the Direct TV Satellite be different from the DirectTV Stream.

Then downloaded the DirectTV Stream app again and logged in with the new Stream login name and it worked.

Note: I have NOT TRIED to reinstall the Satellite app for Direct TV. I won’t be needIng it…

How did you go about changing your login account name?  It seems it requires you to use an e-mail, does it not?  
I now am unable to sign in on 2 of my 3 TVs which is really weird and get a 205.5 error on those two.  I do get the 0018 error on my iPhone, but my husband can sign in just fine on his android.

It does require one to use their email address so I used one of my other email addresses and changed it in my account settings.
