Looks like the new Directtv app no longer allows to save a DVR recording to a device
It appears that DirectTv has removed the option to save a DVR recording to a device (ipad, phone ect) . If this is true time to switch to DISH which still allows it

Do you have DirecTV Stream or DirecTV Satellite? You posted in the Stream forum. DirecTV Stream has never had that capability.

Unfortunately with the DirecTV streaming app that is not a possibility anymore for Sat. customers! Being able to download a recorded show was a nice feature of the Directv Go app! From what I understand that is not a feature that they plan to continue. I would contact customer service and tell them how you feel there are a lot of people that feel the same way as you do about this feature!
