Missing Laker game recordings

My cDVR has missed a couple of Laker games recently. Anyone else?

I think what's confusing things is the Lakers played the Spurs two nights running last week. So it missed one of those. Then tonight's Lakers TrailBlazers game also didn't record, and when I went to book the rerun, it wanted me to delete the recording - turns out I had a Lakes TrailBlazers game recorded from earlier in the season. I had to delete that old recording to be able to book the rerun of tonight's game.

So much for 'unlimited' recordings.

Hello @jo20221023,  thanks for reaching us for help.

We're sorry to know that you've missed your Laker's games due to the Cloud DVR service is not recording them for you. To take a closer look into this, may I know what's the channel where you're trying to record the games and if you've tried using a different device to do so?

Meanwhile, you can take a quick overview of how to manage your DVR recordings for DIRECTV STREAM to make sure everything about this aspect is covered.

It's cloud DVR, and it shows the same on all devices (web browser, iPhone, iPad, FireTV). I see the same problem on all the apps.

The link you provided for managing recordings is out of date as it does not discuss sports 'team' recordings, so the options it suggests to book recordings do not show up. I only see an offer to "cancel recording" on all showings of all games.

It's a 'team' recording for the Los Angeles Lakers, so it records multiple different channels. I booked it on 691 (Spectrum Sportsnet). The failed recordings were both on channel 691. It had been working just fine for multiple games until it missed the games on the 26th Nov, and 30th Nov (The game on the 28th recorded)

I've deleted all the old recordings and I've canceled and rebooked the 'Lakers' team again on ch691. There's a game tomorrow: the 'upcoming recordings' says it is going to record it, but on a different channel (ESPN) - hopefully that will fix itself later.

Yep, it recorded the wrong channel. Sigh, I'm getting fed up with this. They need to fix these bugs. The only solution seems to be to book all the games manually.

Same thing happens to me...   Also if the Lakers are on multiple channels at once (like when they play the Clippers) it won't let you choose which recording to save.

I also have to go delete all previous recording of the team they are playing next -- or it will not record.

Today for the Lakers vs Pelican. it's recording the 209 ESPN2 coverage instead of the coverage I want on 691 Spectrum Sportsnet. In the end, I've had to delete the first part of the game recorded on ESPN2 to let me record the rest of the game on 691. It won't let me record both - it's treating them as the same recording even though they are completely different telecasts.
