Need to reactivate on Roku every time we watch something on a streaming app such as CNN, ESPN, etc

Hello!  We have had a TCL Roku TV for over 3 years along with DirecTV and have used apps such as CNN, ESPN, etc without issue.  We would activate them with our service provider and watch without issue until the past couple of months.  Now, every day we turn the TV on and select one of the apps we are locked out until we sign out, sign back in and reactivate with the a code.  What would cause this change?  Is there a way to stay logged in for longer than a day?  Please advise.  Thanks!

It's not clear if you have DirecTV satellite or DirecTV stream service. Either way, this looks like a Roku TV issue that has nothing to do with DirecTV.

We are a DirecTV satellite customer however we do not have genies at every TV so we stream some channels.  Roku says this has nothing to do with their service too.  The issue has to reside somewhere.

Hello @sdelair we want to help you with your streaming issue on your Roku device.

Here are the compatible devices in which you can stream with our DIRECTV satellite services app.

The Roku device is incompatible with this feature, however you can stream with other devices such as Apple, iOS and some mobile devices.

Thank you but I am not streaming Directv.  I am using CNN or ESPN apps on my roku tv and must activate with my directv login.  I am trying to determine why I must now reactivate every time we watch when we did not need to do this a few weeks ago.

Hello @sdelair please keep in mind the auto sign in feature is currently available in our DIRECTV STREAM devices. You can check this information here.

On the other hand, I will recommend you contact CNN and ESPN to know more about auto sing in on Roku devices.

In the meantime you can continue enjoying our services using the regular sing in process.
