New Directv Stream customer, can’t login to Max or Showtime

I just signed up for Directv Stream this morning and with it I got 3 free months of HBO and Showtime. I have everything working on my tvs and firesticks, the streaming is working perfectly signed in with my login and password on 3 different fire sticks and my phone but when I attempt to login with my provider on Max or Showtime anytime app it says “incorrect login or password. Error code 201” even though I just logged in to my devices with those credentials. I also noticed that even though I’m choosing Directv Stream as my provider the login page says AT&T but maybe that doesn’t matter. It does the same thing whether I’m trying to log in to the max app on my phone or any of the fire sticks. Thanks for any help.

@beaudacious48 we're aware of the MAX login issue, and we are working on a resolution. Once we have an update we'll contact you via DM. Daniel, DIRECTV Community Specialist

How about the rest of us? Are you going to contact us as well? Also, I’m having the same exact issue with the Showtime Anytime app. Are you guys aware of that and working on it as well?

@martyprz How are you trying to log into the app? Start with the app on whatever device you are using---then do the activation code on your computer? If you are doing the provider stuff on a computer---try using an incognito window

On Roku I used the code, but I keep getting redirected to ATT website for verification even though I have separate I D and password on DIRECTV Stream. On IPad I tried to log on using my I D and password but am getting the 201 error code.

I have the same problem Unable to log in to Max app with computer or phone. I have Directv Stream and have a 3 month free trial of Max and when i go to Max and try to log in with  the Directv stream provider i just get a message that says, Incorrect user ID or password. Try again.Care code: 201 [LU100]  I have tried changing my password 8 times and even changed my email. I have talked to Directv both on the chat and the phone 4 times and no help! I even talked to Max and they said it is a problem on the Directv side that they need to fix. And i am using the same user name and password that i use for Directv stream. Directv stream said and they did not know how to fix it just that they are having people look in to it and they are going to escalate it to someone higher up. It's been two weeks now.

Now when i try to log in with Directv stream provider today it shows,

Can’t Verify Subscription

It looks like you don’t have access to Max through this provider.

If you think this is a mistake, please contact your provider directly. You can also try connecting through another provider.

I even tried Directv and AT&T provider.

Have you verified that MAX is a subscription on your DitectTV Stream account, located here

Yes. And they finally got it fixed where i can log in about 30 min ago and it's all working now! It only took them almost 3 weeks to fix! lol

How did they manage to fix it? Mine still isn’t working. Is there something specific they had to do that I can call and reference to them?

Regarding what bcbsncjlj said, I have been on the phone with a half dozen people, transferred to both of the numbers that bcbsncjlj offered (1-800-531-5000 and 1-888-429-4023), PLUS 1-866-412-8482, 1-844-822-3352, and 877-285-0118, which I haven't called because the lady who gave me that said they were probably not in the office anymore tonight. I guess there is no solution to this. I will ask my HOA, who provides the DirectTV service as part of our HOA fee, to refund the price of Max.
