New guide not showing channel logos except after a restart of my FireStick

Love the new guide, but I keep having to restart my FireStick to see the Channel name/logo each time.  When I restart, I can see the channel name/logo, but if I leave and come back they are gone again.

Ludwick, Thanks. That's a good workaround that is effective for me, but it's still a workaround. DTV needs to get it fixed so it works properly.

@DBose  is hitting the back button, then exit that big of a deal for you? It's a couple of key presses on your remote. Bringing up the exit popup screen on the app is the proper way to exit it anyways.  That's how I always do it. And this is why most of us never see the glitch.

Hitting the back button is not a big deal. The big deal is the interface is not working properly and, judging by the comments on this and other threads, it is an annoyance to many users.

Again, thank you for the tip, but I would still like to see the interface work without needing a workaround.

It is working properly. Just a few of you are not exiting the app properly. Most of us are not seeing this issue. Exiting the app correctly is not a "work around" This is how you should always be doing it. 

I'm always amazed by the spoiled attitude of some people in this country. I'd like to see those of you complaining about hitting a different button on your remote live in Ukraine.

I believe most people hit the home button (that's what it's there for) and then select the next app they want to use. 

Anyway, that's all I have to say on this subject.

I always press the back button to exit and close the app. I never just press the home button to close the app and I’m still not seeing the logos intermittently. There is a problem and Directv said they haven’t made an update fix yet. They gave me a $10 credit and they’re going to give it monthly until it’s fixed.

This problem didn't exist prior to the latest update. On DTVS to remedy.

I do not agree that using the Home button is "improper", and I do agree that there is an issue that needs fixing by Dtv or Amazon.  Two issues need fixing by reprogramming the Home button in Dtv to display the exit screen. (1) Loss of guide logos.  (2) Unintentional exiting from the Dtv program by accidentally pressing the Home button instead of the pause/play button.

Thank you for the community input that at least identified the cause of the issue and a workaround that allows me to again use the Dtv guide.

Any app that has an official exit is the proper way to get out of the app.

Exit the app the correct way with the back button then hit exit. It's not that freaking hard. How pathetic. How do you all function in life? It's a different button. Get a grip. Some of you just like an excuse to b*tch.

@Ludwick577 why are you defending Directv? Lol the app worked perfectly before they made the “update” it didn’t matter how you exited the app. I always use the exit page to exit and sometimes the guide logos are missing. I’m glad it works for you though. On every other streaming service app available it doesn’t matter how you exit the app….The next time you open the app everything works correctly…. Except for the Directv app after the “update” But I guess that’s the New Normal now. It’s funny that Directv admitted there’s a problem and offered a 10.00 monthly credit until it’s fixed.

Message or call support and explain the issue. They’re fully aware of the issue and they stated they’re working hard on a ”fix” for over a month now.

@Mdiloreto Again, if you exit the app correctly EVERY TIME you stop using the app the logos appear fine the next time you use it. You aren't being honest when you say exiting using the back button doesn't fix the issue for you. I have two firesticks, and I have never seen the logo issue b/c I exit the app correctly ever time I use it. This is not a difficult thing to do. Hitting the back button instead of the home button means you only have to move your finger over a bit.

Can't believe people have been obsessing over this for 2-3 weeks.

@Ludwick577 Thank you for your continued feedback...but I don't remembering asking you for it.

AGAIN Directv has admitted their app has a problem and that it hasn't worked properly since the update. I can tell you're very invested in defending Directv so maybe you can contact them with your suggestions. I can't believe you've been so obsessed for 2-3 weeks with telling people how to work around Directv's know issue??? Yes, sorry to hurt your feelings but I'm being honest...exiting correctly doesn't always preserve the logos for me. But feel free to stop by and check it out for yourself. Please tell me of any other apps on fire tv that require you to exit the app if you want it to work correctly the next time you use the app. I'll wait...
