new Roku directv stream app requiring reset (delete and re-add) frequently

Ever since August 24th when the newest directv app for my TCL Roku tv updated itself, the app locks up on the splash screen frequently.  In order to fix it, I have to delete the directv channel app and then add it again.  After I do this, I do NOT have to re-enter my UN and PW.  The app then works well for a while (maybe a day), and then I have to repeat the process.

I'm getting the same problem on multiple tcl Roku tv's on the directv app.  No other streaming services have this problem.

Any ideas?  This is a major pain.

This is the DTV sat forum try the streaming forum.  For what it is worth the new app has bugs in it.

Thanks - right after I posted I found a thread with others having a similar issue.  I'm happy to see that a bunch of others have had the same problem - it makes it more likely directv will put resources into fixing the app.

I am pretty sure DIRECTV is aware of it already because recently they updated the app to rectify the ‘bugs.’ However, it seems they didn’t do such a good job so there is definitely more time involved in the effort.
