New Siri Remote with Apple TV 4K

Same problem here. The support for Roku’s remote is far better than their support for Apple TV. Plus there are third party remotes such as the Function 101 remote that gives distinct buttons for FF and RWD and such that works great on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and other various streaming apps on Apple TV but not on DirectTV Stream. The FULL support  for Apple TV needs to get fixed. 

@andrewj What do you mean that your remote is working?  Does the 30/15 second jump work by clicking on the click wheel on the outside edge of the trackpad or are you just using the Pause and slide on trackpad workaround?

Yes, all I have to do is click on the right or left dot on the outer wheel and it will skip 30 seconds ahead 15 seconds back. Just like normal DVR should work. 

I’ll have to try this when I get home. It’s been so annoying I’ve used the Roku from my TV which I hate. 

That’s what I did this form didn’t have much activity so one day I loaded it up and was watch recording and I tried it and the skip forward worked I was amazed it worked. 

DIRECTV Stream updated their software to accommodate the new Siri remote. A hopeful sign that the new DIRECTV won’t be like the terrible AT&T DIRECTV 

I see a lot of these comments are two years old. I still can’t FF or rewind.  The scroll bar appears and I can increase the speed to @750 but the video doesn’t move.  I can’t get continuous FF to even show up.  I just bought a new Appletv 4K with the silver remote.  I bought it to replace the AppleTV HD with the black touchpad remote thinking the issue was with the Apple hardware.  Clearly from all these texts, it is a Direct Tv issue 2 years old.  Has anyone found an acceptable fix?
