Out of Network Too Many Streams - how to reset if all devices are off

I understand the policy on streaming out of the home network.  I am looking for a way to reset the out of home network streams.  The message indicates to close streaming devices and click on refresh.  I have closed all of the devices streaming out of network but I still receive the error.

I called Directv stream and they could not tell me what devices are streaming out of network.  Very frustrating.

It would be a simple fix if I could cancel all streaming services online and then log back into the account.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

There is no tool available. The best you might be able to do is change your password.

This is such a common feature on most apps.  How can changing the password help?  Apparently, DirecTV Stream knows that there are more than three streaming devices but somehow, they cannot share this information.  The  option to logout all users is a quick fix.  I notice several other users are having the same issues.

Hoping that a update or time-out may prompt to sign in again. Anyways, there is no option.

Hello @ldutton01, thanks for bringing this to our attention. You can be sure we'll keep it in mind for future updates.

As @bcbsncjlj mentioned, the best option to sort this out is to reset your password, by doing so, it will refresh the sessions on the other devices. Please give it a try, and let us know how it goes.

We'll be waiting for your response.

Daniel, Thanks for the suggestion but changing the password every few weeks is not a viable solution.  I will contact support to have the streams reset.  I still find it crazy that as the account owner and only person with the password, that I cannot see the devices streaming the service.

@ldutton01 Thank you for sharing this concern with us, and we understand where you're coming from. We are working to improve the features of our DIRECTV STREAM app, such as the functionality for signing out from all devices at once. For the time being, we suggest you updating the User ID of your DIRECTV STREAM account to get everything fixed.
Let us know if further assistance is needed,

Changing the password does NOT work. Changing the login does NOT work. There used to be a featured on the Account Overview page that allowed users to manage devices and force sign-in which would solve the problem but for some reason this feature was removed. Here are the instructions to the feature that apparently no longer exists as found on your support page:

View and manage your DIRECTV STREAM devices

Manage your DIRECTV STREAM devices. Also find out how to return your device and learn more about auto-sign in.

DETAILED STEPS

Manage DIRECTV STREAM devices

  1. Sign in and go to your Account Overviewpage.
  2. In theMy streaming devicesarea, selectManage. From here, you can:
  • View a list of your devices.
  • Disable auto sign-in by turning the selectorOffnext to “Auto sign-in.” If you have more than one DIRECTV STREAM device, this can be taken for each applicable device.
  • View installment plan details, if applicable.
  • Add more streaming devices (up to 6).
Good to know: For additional device help, select Get device support.
Please give us back this feature.

This is only available if you have purchased DirecTV Stream streaming devices from DirecTV directly. The features does not record other streaming devices.
