Problems with audio on DirectTV Stream using Roku

Read the posts last year on this subject and none of the "fixes" were applicable.  Sound, at random, will get loud and distorted...hitting the 15 second back button resets the volume.  Sound, at random, will go completely quiet or way low...hitting the 15 second back button resets the volume.  Called the hotline, reinstalled the app on the Roku, using ethernet cable to attach Roku to TV, etc.  Saw that one poster felt the need to post that he's had multiple Rokus and never had the problem (yay for him) but I have it and will cancel DirectTV unless it can be resolved.  Happy to move to another streaming device if that makes a difference, not married to Roku at all, but it makes no sense to invest in multiple streaming devices if AT&T is saying that Roku isn't the problem.  Appreciate any help you can provide.

Which model? Ultra? Also, AT&T has nothing to do with the service anymore. DirecTV is a separate company (been separated over a year now).

Model is "Ultra".  I use "AT&T" as a generic term...it's still in my login ID leftover from U-Verse.

The audio issue with the Ultra model has been reported for many months. Have not seen anyone report any solution to the problem. I have 3 Roku 4K sticks and have never had any audio issues. I travel with the sticks (also Amazon Fire Sticks) and have never seen the audio issue using multiple internet conditions. If they ever resolve the issue, they never report solutions within a forum. Usually, resolutions are announced by users.
