Recording a Series and it Records ALL shows, not only NEW

I see that too with series recordings that record shows also on the Fast Channels. It's very annoying. SNL is the one for me lately that records every episode on the SNL Fast Channel. The fix would be if Directv would allow customers to choose the channel to record on when setting up a series recording. They have this option on Directv Satellite, but not Stream. Don't think they'll ever add that option b/c people have been asking for it for a few years.

Ludwick- Thanks for letting me know i am not only one.  Yes agree, if they would let you select also just that channel.

GT- it has been a few, but recently my wife was recording new season of AGT (america got talent on Tuesday)

I have a scheduled recording for SNL too.  It had been working great, but now I see there have been 100+ episodes recorder in the past week.  How do I find the one I want in that mess?

DTV Help.  Why are you wanting only specific people to contact you?  This is a severe problem for EVERYONE (or at least me).  You can't fix this person by person.  I don't watch live TV except for 24/7 news.  I "record EVERYTHING" then have to review Upcoming Recordings daily to DELETE all the unwanted recordings one by one manually.  This is a pain in the (Edited per community guidelines).  For example.  I have most everything set to record "Series Recordings, NEW ONLY" but like AGT, it records all on the FAST channels also because they are mislabeled as "NEW" when they're not.  Also the Masked Singer and a bunch other game shows.  I probably record over 100 shows a week so I can watch TV "ad-free".

Having SNL on series recording also records them all from the FAST channels. DirecTV stream..please add the option to record a series on a specific channel when you setup the series recording. Dtv satellite has this feature 

I’m having the same issue when recording the Today show. I only want it recorded on the network channel but I get more than 10 recordings daily from the Today show channel, too, that breaks up the episode into shorter segments. It’s totally annoying. My fix has been to sit with the Guide and select each individual episode from the network channel but the guide only goes out a few days. I never remember that I have to do it again until I see that I’ve missed an episode. 

I can’t believe Directv Streaming won’t find a fix for the problem. People have been complaining about this for years.

It will eventually resolve itself. My SNL series recording stopped recording the show on the SNL fast channel a few days ago
