Recording a sports team for a season, i.e. NBA, College football or basketball etc.
I understand the directv stream does not have the capability to record a season for a sports team. I just signed up yesterday and I was disappointed to discover this. Does anybody know when this functionality will be offered? Apparently development on the platform is slow under AT&T. This is a must have. As in MUST HAVE. Does anyone know of a timeline for this functionality? I just switched from Directv dish, and this functionality has been there for YEARS. Please help

No one here would know since this is just an open community forum of users sharing ideas and experiences. No one has an inside scope to their future plans. When and if it happens you will know like the rest of us.

I had the same disappointment when I tried to record my favorite college basketball teams and the DVR recorded every college basketball game and not just the teams I want. It kept hitting the 30 recording limit and deleting the older games including those of my teams. Now I am manually searching and recording the individual games one by one. What a hassle! YouTube TV had infinite recordings of each teams that can be selected separately. Direct TV Stream better offer this option soon or it'll be back to YouTube TV.

With Cloud DVR from DIRECTV STREAM, you can easily record your favorites and watch all your entertainment virtually anywhere. Restrictions apply.
-Customers with 20 hours of Cloud DVR storage are allowed a maximum of 10 episodes per TV series.
-Customers with Unlimited Cloud DVR storage are allowed a maximum of 30 episodes per TV series.
-Once the maximum episode limit is met, the oldest recorded episode will be automatically deleted first (within 90 days or less) to make room for the next recorded episode.
In case you got any issue during the recording, let's try this basic troubleshooting:
-Using the DIRECTV STREAM app:
1.Check for app updates in your app store. If an update is available, install it and restart your device.
2.Check for device software updates and install.
3. Close and restart the DIRECTV STREAM app.
4.Reboot your phone or tablet.
5. Uninstall and reinstall the DIRECTV STREAM app.
Re-launch the DIRECTV STREAM app and try again.
-Using a DIRECTV STREAM device:
1. Restart your DIRECTV STREAM device. You can:
-Press and release the red button on the side.
-Unplug your device for at least 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
You can also find easy-to-follow steps to fix your issue in case you're getting any error code.

@DIRECTVhelp ,when will directv make this feature available? Another good example is the olympics. I can't record all of the olympics (like recording a team). it has to be individual events. I really need to be able to record a team, this is way overdue.

@DIRECTVhelp - once again, if you bothered reading the post you are responding to, you would see that the posters in this thread aren't having problems getting the DVR to work. They are complaining about a feature that the DVR doesn't have. But perhaps reading skills are not part of your job description?
And you thanking them for "bringing this to our attention" is a ridiculous thing to say, since this isn't a new issue - users have been asking for that feature for years. And clearly either you reps don't bother (or have no way) to forward raised issues to the people who could do something about them, or you do, and they don't care.

I guess they're just working off a script, @Jrandomuser
Silly, huh?

We can always rely on @Directvhelp to parrot something completely useless to the conversation...

At one point (back in the AT&T days) I assumed "help" was a bot doing bad keyword searches and posting largely irrelevant canned responses. But I've been assured that isn't the case - they just behave as if it was.
