Recording new shows
When I set up a recording of a series, I select new shows only. As I look ahead at upcoming recordings, I see old shows listed on a channel I am not familiar with. Try Blue Bloods to see what I mean.

Same issue here. We want only the new shows on CBS Friday nights, but it records all the old shows on News Nation. I was always under the understanding, but could be wrong, that the determination between new and old shows was in a hidden code entered into the program. It appears this code may not be in the older News Nation episodes.

Looks like I am stuck with going through and deleting scheduled recordings. Never even heard of News Nation before it popped up in recordings. Be nice if DIRECTV could fix this.

When u setup a show to record it will record the show on all channels. In terms of the new part----if old shows are recording that means the other channel has it tagged as new. Probably b/c it's new for that other station. Easy fix would be if we could choose what channel(s) we record shows on.
