Refresh zip code for local channels
I found this article https://www.directv.com/support/stream/article/KM1228303/ which provides info on ensuring the zip code is correct and refreshing it. I am currently not getting the correct local channels. But I do not have a Direct TV Stream remote, so the "home" button being referred to there does not exist. Nor do I have a "Settings > General > System Summary." section in my options menu. I am watching Direct TV Stream using the app through an Amazon Fire Cube - it seems these options are not available there.
Is there another place I can access these options and force the local channels to refresh?

U hit the down arrow to access home and settings. Gear icon is all the way to the right and I think setting home location is under preferences.

There is no "General" or "System Summary" menus there. The only options menus I have has
1. Preferences
a. Captioning (On/Off)
b. Parental Controls (On/Off)
c. Autoplay Next Episode (On/Off)
d. Streaming Quality
e. Home Settings (allows me to set the current network as the "home" network, nothing to do with zip code or local channels)
2. Account - Shows my user ID and current package, allows me to sign out (signing out and back in doesn't resolve the issue)
3. About
a. Nielson Measurement
b. Do Not Sell My Personal Information
c. Terms & Conditions
d. Privacy Policy
4. Help Center

Is the billing zip correct in your account on the dtv stream website? You might try that home location update and see that will fix it. Also try to uninstall/reinstall the app (or clear cache and data) Restart your device.

That zip code refresh is only used with the DirecTV Stream box.

Then how can I update the local channels when not using a DirecTV Stream box?

The local channels are based on your billing zip code. Are you located in your home location?

Yes I am, my billing zip code changed recently but the channels have not updated yet. Will it occur automatically with the next billing cycle?

The new zip code is in a very different location from the old one, a different state entirely. As of last night, I confirmed the channels were still from the old state. If this simply takes some time to process automatically then perhaps we just need to wait. My hope was to be able to refresh it manually and confirm immediately.

I would delete the app. Restart your modem/router and streaming device. Add app back.
