Remote scroll gets stuck
Our DIRECTV remote will sometimes keep scrolling when we are trying to change stations, and then we can never select the channel we want. We use the guide and push arrow button to the channel but never make it bcuz it will just continuously scroll. We have changed the batteries and reprogrammed the remote. What causes the scrolling to get stuck?

Perhaps a sticking remote key?

Great response. I have checked all the buttons when it happens and none are stuck. I usually have to reset streaming device and then reprogram remote - shouldn’t have to keep doing this.

Have you tried changing the batteries. Could also be a defective remote or box. If you have any Dtv Satellite remote they also work with the Dtv Stream box. U can also buy a new Dtv stream remote on amazon
