Series recording more than new eposides
I am selecting a show, "young Sheldon" and selecting to record new episodes only. It continually records reruns from other channels. Does this with other shows as well. How do I set it to only record first runs on the channel they premier on?

Hello Robb, the show is recorded on every channel we found to ensure customers have options and get all the programming in case it's not found in a specific. Actually, it is recorded all over the place because the DVR feature doesn't allow filtering by source channel, their EPG info provider doesn't do a great job of marking only new episodes, and the DVR program selection code has seemed spotty from the start.
But good job @DIRECTVhelp at trying to make it sound like it is done on purpose!

The DirecTV satellite receivers have no problem recording actual first runs of shows. Was enjoying the Directv Stream services, however the lack of DVR features and functionality has me considering looking elsewhere
