Start from beginning

I called DirecTV about this annoying pop up. I was told that it was part of a new system update. This is unacceptable. 

Let's make our voices heard loud and clear.

WE DON'T LIKE CHANGE WITHOUT INPUT!!!

I do not understand your issue. The problem disappears after 3-5 seconds and only appears when you switch to a new show that has already started. This feature allows viewers the option to restart the show. Whether or not you choose to use it is irrelevant. Many people have been requesting this feature for a long time, and it is something that a lot of users have wanted.

Nobody here can ever recall uttering the phrase "Gee - I wish I could start this program from the beginning".

The new undocumented feature is very annoying since I don't like commercials and usually watch 2 or 3 shows at the same time and when one goes to commercial I want to switch to another show that might not be in a commercial.

When I switch now I have to wait 5 seconds for the new message to disappear being unable to press the OK button on my Roku remote lest I start the show I'm watching from the beginning which I don't want to do - but now it happens.

DIRECTV should have made this option configurable and still has the opportunity to do that instead of forcing this new feature on all users.

It doesn't bother me.  It's only there for a few seconds.

I agree it is annoying especially when using the Gemini box or Air. If I change a channel and hit the ok button to bring up the status bar in order to turn on captions---then I'm actually clicking that popup box and it starts from beginning/starts the recording and I have to exit out.  I know I could just wait for the box to disappear but sometimes I forget it's there and try to turn on captions --force of habit.
