Time out function on Fire stick

With the DirecTV Streaming box there is a setting under, "Settings/Display/Power Saving", that you can turn on or off for a sleep mode, after 4 hours of inactivity.

Thanks so much. Have you had any issues with your device? We have a Fire stick and we thinking about purchasing a DirecTV streaming device. 

I have 3 DirecTV boxes and they all work fine. Also have Fire Sticks and Rokus. The box works the best of all, plus you can bring up channels by their number, a great feature if you are migrating from DirecTV satellite.

Hi there! I know not being able to turn off a function we don't like is annoying, however, don't worry, because we do have a screensaver and power saving functions in our DIRECTV STREAM device, and you have the option to turn those features on and off whenever you want:

- Press HOME button

- Scroll right and Select 'Settings' (Gear Icon), press OK

- Select 'System', press OK

- Select 'Display', press OK

- Select 'Power Saving' and press OK to turn ON or OFF

@Oldtrh The remote for their box also has shortcut buttons for the guide, dvr list, record, previous channel--and a voice search button. The box also has google play store installed for other apps you might use. Fast forward and rewind are also easier to use.
