Trying to record season of MLB and it will not do it unless manually hit record
Having issues setting up a record upcoming on a MLB series game but it’s not doing it unless I go in and press record manually at the start of the game. Sometimes a MLB game is on sports net same channel as a basketball game under alternate and it causes it not to record. Can you not do this on DTV stream?

You can totally schedule the recording for the game you choose to see later, let's make sure you're following the steps on this link.
Please know that sports recordings are automatically extended where content continues to stream beyond the programmer’s scheduled time. Applies to the NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA leagues, NCAA Football and Basketball (Division I), Soccer (UEFA, FIFA) and PGA Tour Golf. Extended sports recordings contingent upon third-party recording service availability and varies by packages, channel subscriptions & billing region. Blackout restrictions apply.

What device are you using. You can record by team now. If you seach your team then click to record a game u will see a "record options" link. Click that and it will give you the option to record the game or record a team.
