If it is just your Directv box turning off, then all you need to do is to go into settings, go to where it says system, then go to where it says display, then go to power saving and then turn it to off. This will keep your Directv box from turning off after 4 hours of inactivity. If it is your TV turning off then you would have to look at your TV settings for that.
