Tv and sound cut out repeatedly

I have a Samsung tv and direct tv genie.  It cuts in and out when I first turn it on in the morning.  What is the fix?  Direct services said just call when it starts doing this.  By the time I get through the red tape, it stops.

1. exchanged a genie with another room.

2.  Replaced hdmi cable.

3. I see where this has been mentioned on the blog repeatedly.

4.  We had an ice storm right before this began occurring.

5.  Recently added a sound bar.

What "Genie" model number(s)?

You said you swapped with another Genie. Is this problem only happening with the Samsung TV's Genie box?

Are you sure it's not a Samsung TV issue?

try using your remote on the Genie --Menu-search (type) CLEARMYBOX --press search -then search all -your receiver will reboot -see if that clears the issue

I have the same issue with 2 different Samsungs and Apple TV’s….never had this issue until 4 months ago.  BTW, I tried pressing the play pause button trick to no avail.  The only fix is to restart the apple each time, usually happens after a commercial…

I am trialing DirecTV streaming to see if I wish to drop my Uverse, but the volume is going in and out sounds awful. Samsung TV
