You have to hunt to find that link on the current DirecTV homepage.

I found 2 interesting things via the Stream link.  They no longer mention the DTV streamer (Osprey) at all.  And they have a list of supported streaming devices (in the FAQ section) which is different from the old "compatible devices" list.  It is mostly the same as the old list (adding "or later" to places it should have been), but it doesn't include the Osprey.  I'd assume that they won't brick it for existing owners, but I wonder if they won't make it available to new Stream subscribers (or even prevent existing ones from buying more.)  And it adds a bunch of new entries, including some very surprising ones:

  • Amazon Fire tablets (which really should have been there)
  • Cox Contour 2 and Contour Stream Player
  • LG TVs
  • PlayStation 4 & 5
  • Spectrum WorldBox
  • Vizio TVs
  • Xbox One
  • Xfinity X1 and Flex
  • XClass TV (which is a Comcast thing apparently with X1 built in)

No idea if this list is real or if someone internally posted something completely off the wall (which has happened before) - I suspect the latter.  It seems unlikely to be real - some of those are locked down (cable provider) platforms/devices, and others are platforms that have been requested for years and it seems unlikely they would all suddenly show up at the same time and with no announcement, but just be listed on a fairly hidden page.
