Updates to DIRECTV are just AWFUL!!
The new revamp into Directv stream is total garbage. I am beyond frustrated and will start looking into other streaming options. They have messed with everything it seems. I HATE the new fast forward/rewind function? I used to be able to count the "clicks" and see where I was in the programming visually. Now you just have to keep jumping ahead the 15 seconds but can't see where you'll land in programming so inevitably, you end up backing up more or advancing more until you happen to find the beginning of new segment after commercial. Deleting recordings has been a real problem also. Trying to use the "return" button on remote used to take you back to previous thing you were doing or watching...not anymore! It is like every remote command I was used to using before, doesn't work and I can't figure out how to find new replacement functions on my fire stick remote. Last night I ended up shutting off the TV and going to bed early since I was so frustrated.

I love Dtv Stream and use their stream box. Seems like you are making up a lof of those things. I'm not seeing any issues or changes to the service that are "garbage"

Completely agree! There are alot of issues with the new DirecTV app updates, specifically on the Firestick device app. I have never really had many issues with the app before they recently updated to "DirecTV Stream", but ever since I am having many issues.
These issues are not related to the streaming box as mentioned from the responses above. Also, the DirecTV Stream App on my Samsung smart TV does not seem to have any issues, only the app installed on Firestick, which is my primary use for watching DirecTV on (3) different TV's. Please fix!

Completely agree, so far the DirecTV Stream App is not as good of an eperience as it was with ATT TV. Specifically on Firestick

No changes were made to the app besides re-branding of the name. The app performs just like it did before the name change. I have had no issues using Fire Sticks, Roku's, or PC.
"AT&T TV has repeatedly suggested that subscribers shouldn’t expect any change to their service, plans or pricing. According to AT&T, this is simply a change in branding from the subscriber perspective with no changes or disruption to their service."

If you hate the apps so much get the Dtv Stream box. It's 10000x times better than the apps.
