Use of Alexa to change DIRECTV STREAM channels

What streaming device?

Im not quite sure you can actually change channels with the DIRECTV STREAM app because there’s no such ‘skill.’

I read a while ago that you can use Alexa with the Directv Stream but the use of it is very limited and does not work very well.  I do not know from personal experience if this works or not.  So all I can say is try it and see if it works for what you want.  Because all I can tell you is what others have talked about in the forum before. • @detuch254 I did not accept the solution for this post.  If it somehow showed that I did it then on my end that was not my intention in doing so as my only explanation can be it accidentally happened when my dog jump up onto my computer when I was in the forum earlier today. My dog closed all my windows so I had to resign into the forum and when I did it showed that there was an accepted solution so I did not think too much about it. So, if that was the case I am glad that you caught it and fixed it since I see it is no longer showing as an accepted solution.  I would never want to give myself credit for something that I did not earn so thanks again for letting me know that this happened and fixing it.

No problem mistakes happen. Just didn’t want this to get accepted and then the OP has issues. Thanks for understanding
