Watching with browser right side scrollbar stays visible
Since the last update Wednesday (11/10/22) night, when watching live TV with a browser, the right scrollbar on the browser does not disappear when watching in full screen mode. This is a new behavior and didn't occur before the update. Have tried multiple computers and browsers and getting the same result. Fixing this should be simple on the Directv end. Lets go guys and gals!

I found a solution it appears to be a chrome specific browser feature. Go to chrome://flags and enable "overlay scrollbars" this will hide the scrollbar and only appear when you hover over the edge of the window.

Thanks, It doesn't matter where the mouse is, on or off the screen the scrollbar stays on. In fact, before the DTv update, the mouse cursor would disappear after a few seconds if it wasn't moved. Now it stays on. I'm wondering if you're on the same version. After the update, the settings screen changed to a list of various things you could change; Preferences, Account, About, Help Center (how I got here.). The About selection shows: Version: 4.0.343.401.

One more comment, the scrollbar stays on when viewing in full screen mode, either by clicking on the "expand box" on the lower right of the picture or by maxing the browser with F11 or both, for that matter... I usually do this by stating in the "Guide" screen.

No VPN and no added extensions. I get the same result using an incognito window via Chrome. As mentioned, I've tried multiple computers and browsers. Windows 10 on the computers in various stages of updates and Firefox, Edge and Chrome as browsers. Same result in all cases. Mostly I use Chrome and before the DTv update appeared all the computers worked fine. After the update they all have the same scrollbar problem.

The interface changed for the Settings,
, button. Now I get a pull down window when I hit the button and different selection of options.
For example to sign out I now have to go to Account and hit sign out at the bottom of the menu. Used to be right there under settings. Also, the initial screen after logging in changed and I had to reset my preferences. And, the scrollbar issue appeared!

Same version now have no idea what it was before, but my interface was different.
I appreciate your help. But, I'm hoping someone might post with the same issue or maybe someone from DirecTv might chime in. If all else fails and the issue doesn't fix itself, I'll get with DTv support directly. Was hoping to avoid that via this forum....

I'm having the same issue and agreed it should be a simple fix. It's definitely affecting more than one person.
I've tried all the different solutions suggested by bcbsncjlj and it's still the same.
I'll agree that it's opening in a different location on the Internet because it will not open with the link I had in my favorites bar.
When loading it also shows WEB RN then it opens to a page that has /player at the end. It did not used to do that.

Thanks, Glad I'm no alone, but sorry you're having problems too.
When I first login now, it very briefly goes to a screen that shows the always helpful "Well That Was Unexpected" message and the loads the Guide page I default to. That's new for me, but I didn't want to muddy the water too much. The scrollbar is a bigger problem and is very annoying. Plus, I'd guess if you leave the picture on full screen long enough, you might end up with the scrollbar permanently burned into your screen. Hope someone from DTv sees this and follows up!

That's a different link than what I had saved in my favorites bar in MS Edge. It was broken and had a little cartoon character and something about error. I wished I had saved the link but thought if I changed the bookmark it would fix the problem.
It's definitely opening to a different link because I started briefly seeing WEB RN as it was loading after logging in.
I'm so glad everything works as it did before for you but this is not a problem we're making up. It's not the same!

Your link works just fine but it's not the link I had saved to log in before.
The Settings changed here also just like TCsTV's and the obnoxious gray scroll bar remains on the right had side no matter what resolution I change my laptop to.
I used to just click on the settings icon and click sign out. Now I have to click on account and then click on sign out.
So something has definitely changed about the web interface. Maybe it's regional. If that's the case then count your blessings.

I wonder if this has anything to do with moving from AT&T TV to DirecTV Stream?
When I sign out this is beginning part of a super long link in my address bar:
https://signin.att.com/dynamic/............................
TCsTV were you previously an AT&T TV customer that was switched to DirecTV Stream?

Yes, I was an original AT&T Streaming customer, starting approx 6 or more years ago. They made the change to Directv Stream quite a while ago. There was also another name or two before AT&T spun it off. All that was never an issue before. I've been using the same bookmark for a long time and it does still get me there after the current quick "unexpected" page.

Yeah that's what the saved bookmark link done to me. I bet this has something to do with being grandfathered in from AT&T and during the login process it's using and older interface as bcbsncjlj previousy posted above. That's something to ponder if you resort to calling in about the problem.
This may be a common link with the people that will have issues. As previously stated it should be something that is easily fixed but then again I've seen issues like this drag on for months before it gets fixed. In the mean time I'm using a roku stick and fire TV stick to avoid the issue but would rather stream from my laptop :(

For what it's worth, the scrollbar does not stay lit when I'm watching a program I've recorded or an On Demand show. It only seems to be a problem with live tv shows. So, if you don't mind being a little behind, you can start a live program recording, wait a few minutes and then start watching the recording of the program in the My Library section. Unfortunately you're always a little late and you can't switch channels without going live.

Thanks for the info I'll give that a try but then again if I'm watching a sporting event and in chat with someone I would always be behind :(
It would be nice if DTV would monitor these forums and take note of problems and consider their customer's feedback and research. I've been here before and left because they would never get the screen going black for periods of time and sometimes you would have to reload the page to take away the black screen. It took months for them to fix that.
