Why am I not able to Sign into apps under ROKU that are also in my DirectStream subscription?
Smithsonian channel is in my Direct Stream app, but when I try to sign into it from under ROKU and select my provide as Direct TV, it says I am not subscribed*&^%+_)<>........Yet I am subscribed under Direct Stream; but Direct Stream is not listed, only Direct TV? Also< I see many more selections on Smithsonian channel under ROKU, than under DirectStream? What's the deal???

Select DirecTV and you should be able to sign into any apps for networks included in your DirecTV Stream subscription.

Hey @therays_ccrtc_com Please keep in mind not all the 3rd party apps support DIRECTV STREAM as provider, you can check further information about it here, we will be here to resolve any inquiry you may have

Not every app is supported by Dtv Stream. There is a list here. Doesn't look like Smithsonian is in there:

Yet, Smithsonian channel is part of my DStream subscription. I was under the impression that any channel within my DStream subscription would allow me to select Dstream as provider and view that same channel app in its entirety. Other channel/apps work that way (NBC for example) but Smithsonian and others don't?!

That's correct, @therays_ccrtc_com.
DIRECTV STREAM supports the Smithsonian Channel in certain packages. However, not all of our channels allow access to their streaming app.
We recommend that you keep track of the network apps availability, just in case it's included in the future.
Hope this help!
